Most days have been relatively good, apart from one......yesterday

Full of a cold and feeling like my head is going to explode  and couldnt stop eating carbs.....CRAZZZY !

Lunch: Homemade chicken noodle soup

Dinner: Grilled chicken breast and mushrooms on a barmcake with broccoli and squash

Todays carbs around 50

Quite a lot of carbs today. Couldn't resist the barmcake with my chicken breast. Well, it's only 1 day... :o)

Off to the Doc's on Monday for my check-up. oooooo I think I need something to move me. It's been over a week

B'fast: croissant and fresh strawberries
Lunch: broccoli & cheese soup and chicken & mixed salad
Dinner: philly cheese steak with onion rings

Total carbs for today about 60

About 20 less carbs per day and I've cracked it...

Last leg of my trip tomorrow with a 10hr drive back to Ohio.

I've had a fabulous time with my family and I miss them lots.

The best thing about going home is placing my head on my pillow and having a good nights sleep in my bed.

Managed to meet half way and pick up my author copies. The photos are much better and I think we are finally ready to go ahead with production. B'fast: 2 slices of low-carb toast
Lunch: 1 scone and a slice of apple pie
Dinner: Fish and chips

What a day....

There I was busy packing and my mother turned up with her friend and presented scones and apple pie. I would have declined but I was so hungry and had nothing in to eat. It was tremendous..

They had originally arrived to give a helping hand. An hour, later they got to work in the kitchen only to call me for supervision.

Not sure which part of  "wrap all the pans crockery and cutlery in the newspapers provided and put them in the box," that they didn't understand?

To top the day off, and armed with the 'no food in the cupboards excuse', a visit to the local chippy was in order. Originally, it was supposed to be a donna kebab, but on arrival I was informed that it was no longer a kebab house and, well, I made an executive decision and ordered fish and chips.

What a bloody failure!!!

It is now back to traveling and hotel life for the next couple of weeks, so not hope there then!

I am almost homeward bound so I will be switching the 'LIKE' button off from my FB page for a short time while I'm traveling but keep checking out my Website. I will keep you posted as to when my book will be available.

Xlibris has managed to disappoint me yet again. The author copies did NOT arrive as promised. I have a very uneasy feeling about this company.

So many different departments and no-one is giving me an answer or, even more frustrating, telling me what I want to hear?

Watch this space and we should be live with my book within the next couple of weeks........ ?

Oooooo nice low carb day today. Is this the sign of things to come!? Have found some new bread at Tesco today. Soya and Linseed. Good size and filling too. So that's what I'm sticking with for the duration of my UK visit.

It's countdown to my book. If the publishing company screw up again I give up and accept that "It wasn't meant to be" and will start again with another one! Grrrr Angry Face....Again :o]

Still too high but I am hopefull that this holiday feeling will disappear I need to get my head down and focus!! :o(

Not a bad day today, and Sunday dinner was minus roast potatoes and mashed potatoes

So, does that mean I am back on the straight-and-narrow? I hope so

Sorry I haven't updated my log over the last couple of days. Been away visiting family and couldn't do it. It's nice to catch up.

Sooo looking forward to eating sensible again. I think the next couple of days will do it and then Monday will be plain sailing.... :-)

B'fast: 2 slices of black pudding
Lunch: 1 digestive biscuit
Dinner: Liver, sausage and onions

Today's carbs total around 20

Extremely busy today. So busy that I couldn't even stop to think....if you know what I mean. Painters, decorators, broken electric fans, carpet shops and the list goes on.

My son had a full English for breakfast but he said yuk to the black pudding, so I polished it off for him and the digestive was shortly after but I put it on lunch. Was actually feeling a bit weary by 4pm.

Travelling day tomorrow and we're away for a couple of days so I don't think it's going to be a good carb time on my family visit, but Grandmothers don't seem to understand this 'carb thing'.

In their day they used to wipe up the beef dripping straight out of the roasting tin with a slice of bread every sunday after the family Sunday Roast, so there's no sympathy for me.

Lunch: Tapas: Chirito sausage, meatballs and tomatoe & mozzorella with 1 slice of a baguette dipped in olive oil and balsamic

Dinner: Chicken Bhuna with 1 chapati followed by a small piece of New York cheesecake

Total carbs for today around 85

I think I'd just better give up this week and resign myself to the high carb lifestyle. It has been a difficult week and I have to pick a day that I start back on a sensible eating pattern.

What else can I say? I am falling rapidly into a bad habit and it's very easy to give up. Shall I just throw the towel in ? ABSOLUTELY NOT - BRING IT ON!!!.....What am I saying???...Some nights I just feel like giving up

OK....Now we are back in the land of the living and I promise that tomorrow will be a low-low-carb day....

why am I saying this?.....You'd better read on....

I haven't been on this last week or two. Been travelling to UK to visit family and friends and the trip so far has been a little crammed with things like sticky toffee pudding with custard, hot chocolate fudge cakes with cream and chocolate etc etc etc......
I am now feeling a little more in control though so it will get better

Daily Log
B'fast: 2 egg scrambled with bacon
Lunch: Chicken leg (no skin) with mixed salad
Snack: 1 low-carb bar
Dinner: Bacon, egg, sausage and mushrooms. 1 slice of low-carb bread
Snack: 4 cubes of galaxy chocolate :o)

Hmmm....The questions must be asked...."Am I really trying?" Well, yes I am.....most of the time. The weekend was spend with friends I haven't seen for decades and it was a case of 'falling off the wagon' but only for a couple of days. It was unavoidable and we have now (sadly) travelled back to our respective homes.

The only excercise has been "talk-talk" and I will give my voice box a rest for a day or two, but it was fab catching up after such a long time. AND tonight's chocolate was a little 'pick-me-up'....I'm sure you all know what I mean.

Anyway , enough of my excuses. I have planned ahead for tomorrow so It WILL be a good one :o)

Dinner: Pork chop with roasted sweet peppers, cougettes, and stuffed mushroom with grated cheese and lemon thyme.

Today's carbs about: 20


Ooops....will do better tomorrow, but had so much to do I didn't plan ahead.....as usual :-)

Yes, I am still waiting for the 2nd load of proofs before I agree to publication. It will be next year at this rate!!! It needs to be right...or as near as damn it so please say 'Yes' to the Book, Kindle or Book..... when it comes out.

Lunch: Fresh turkey breast slices and cucumber on 1 low carb wrap
Dinner: Double cheeseburger with tomato and cucumber on 2 low-carb wraps

By lunch time I was steaming hot and hungry like...angry hungry  Then I got really tired and dozed off which made me late for the preparations I have to make for our holiday. Anyway, I survived the day and I have come out the other end feeling chuffed that that I didn't eat any chocolattteeee! mmmmmm

Got a call from the publishers.....(sharp intake of breath as I lifted the receiver)...They are sending me new author copies that have been rectified by the publishing department for Amazon & B&N. Fingers crossed these will be in better shape than the previous one. I could print better pictures on my home printer :o)

Had someone telling me off on my FB page earlier. Wanted to know why I'm not advertising on my site. It's true, I should be. I do things at my own pace and I don't do things just for the money but I need to get into and out of the vision. I have done that and I am now going forward with advertising kitchen utensils/cookware/bakeware etc., as well as other things but this is the first project. Dinner: Spanish egg white omelet with mixed salad and 2 low-carb wraps

My holiday is a week away and I've been good up to now! It's the usual pattern....1 week before going away, go into panic, be good all week. Why can't I do that full time 

And no, I didn't have any chocolate last night. Felt sooo cool and strong  but at the same time I felt a little bit sad cuz it was my fave chocolate   

Word of warning...if you order the physical book through www.xlibris.com the quality of the interior of the book will be far more superior to that of Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Apparantly, Amazon and Barnes & Noble have there own printers and that's why the book will be cheaper, but the photos are disappointing.
