Steaming through the weekend! Spent most of the day in the garden cutting back shrubs and mulching.

I was using the old fashioned privet hedge cutter and I now have biceps like Popeye. And they throb like mad and it's taking all my strength to type this message

Todays exercise has been dealt with in the garden so I don't feel too bad about not doing cardio this week. We started around 10am and didn't finish until 4pm.

One word....Knackered! I think a painkiller is on the books :)

Oh so good today. Getting back into the swing of things. I am doing this earlier than normal because there is a big storm on it's way and I can't get used to the American storms!!! Soooo loud!

Went to toning tables today but still not got to cardio. That's about 3 weeks since I did the treadmill.

I don't understand it. I was loving it and all of a sudden I got busy then I went on holiday and now I can't make myself walk in the bloody door

Maybe a psychologist can answer that one

Lunch: Leftover pulled chicken and lettuce on 1 low-carb wrap
Dinner: Creole rubbed pork joint with sweet potatoes & roasted sweet peppers. 1/2 cup of fruit smoothy.

Total carbs for today around 39

Dinner was great....for me at least. Apparently, I put too much Creole rub over the joint and everyone complained it was burning their lips as well as their mouths. I thought it just tingled a little.
Strange really because I can't eat English mustard because it's too hot. It like blows my sinuses to smithereens, but I can eat curries and spicy rubs and sauces.

I also did a shop today and had a little time to walk rather than rush through the isles and passed the veggie/fruit smoothies fridge so I bought 3 different types and we all tried them after dinner.
Each one was disgusting when drank by itself, but my son mixed them all together to try (like teenagers do) so I thought I'd try it too and they tasted great!

Problem is it's 25 carbs for 1 cup!

Hmmmm have to be careful with that one. I think I may just stick to my mega multi-vitamin tablets 

Anyway, I detract from the subject at hand.

Good kind of day. Not too hungry during the day but was starving by dinner

Didn't have a very good organized day. Yes, I had plenty of snacks in the car but that's most of what I ate today.

Two weeks have gone by since I last weighed myself. That's because I was on holiday last week and thought it better not to bother weighing until this week.

My holiday week was spent putting weight on....4lb to be exact

For my weigh-in though I have only gained 1lb

Total carbs for the last two weeks has worked out at 733

Average carbs per week is 366

Average carbs for the 14 days is 52 carbs per day.

I knew I ate too many cakes last week when I was away. I promise next week will be brilliant. No holidays and hardly any chocolate

It's getting better. I managed to keep my low-carb eating to a reasonable number today.
I only went to the toning tables today and I am working tomorrow so I may not get time to go. 

I'm NOT an evening gym person, but if all else fails I will just do another session at the toning tables. At least it's something 
I do actually miss the treadmill cinema. I will endeavor to go Wednesday 
To add a little stress to the week: I've got 2 days to lose the couple of pounds that I put on in Florida....what do you think?

So today we traveled about 6hrs back home via Starbucks (as you probably noticed) and then it was all systems go when we got back with dealing with the mail, washing clothes, shopping for food, shopping for spring flowers and cooking dinner. So, yes, I meant tomorrow will be my first official low-carb day

I screwed up at dinner. Arrived in Chattenooga and we'd travelled 10 plus hours and just over half way home. Checked in to our overnight stay hotel and went straight to eat. The first place on our navigation system was called the "pork Chop Bar & Grill" it sounded OK so off we went...but we walked in and the smell was like urine and tobacco and beer all rolled into one. Fortunately, our son was with us and they said he was too young.....phew...how lucky was that!!!! I don't think it was a restaurant ;-) So, off a hunting for somewhere to eat and ended up at a Greek restaurant. The menu was so good I just thought...."I'm sick and tired of thinking about low-carb, so just go for it and have it all". So I did ;) My stomache is now so full my midriff is bloated to swollen :-)) hmmmmmm Spanakopita. Spinach and feta cheese pie with filo pastry was delish and the chips too :-) So, tomorrow is the start of a sensible full on low carb week. Watch this space

Well....this is my last night in Clearwater Beach, Florida. I will miss this place. The Gulf coast is spectacular!!! Still not been able to update my Website. Come on Webs! We're already in the millennium!!! B'fast: 2 eggs and ham Lunch: 1 packet of low carb crisps/potato chips Snack: 2 cups of popcorn Dinner: tuna salad with 1 garlic breadstick and 2 lousy mouthfuls of vanilla slice. 1 glass of red. Total carbs for today around 45 www.karenscckitchen.com The 2 mouthfuls of vanilla slice is because my son turned his head for a second and I downed it quick sharp :-) sad but true. Traveling day tomorrow. Heading to Chattenooga for an overnight stay on the way home....I can feel a song coming on...... "Pardon me dear....is that the Chattenooga choo choo".... Someone carry it on coz I can't remember the rest ! So today was relatively good but I am not calculating this week's carbs until next Wednesday and I will just use the average for 2 weeks instead of 1. That way I will be able to make up for the over eating I've done this week. Eating disorders suck!! I've noticed that everyone else at the restaurant seems to be eating either deep dish pizzas and spaghetti galore. I'm talking giant sized portions - like massive pizzas, followed by cakes full of cream and gorgeous, delicious tasty stuff like that. If I ate like that I would be like the side of a bloody bus! (as we say in UK) I just get to snarf the odd mouthful and my stomache looks like I'm 6 months with child! Go figureeee. So how come these people can eat that much, slob on a beach all day and never seem to put any weight on? And don't tell me it's exercise coz there was no exercising happening for anyone at this hotel. So, as you can see, sometimes life baffles me. I shall continue to search for my guru of life...wherever she or he, or IT may be to find out the answers to these life changing questions. In the meantime be happy, laugh a lot (even though taxes are increasing) and love as truly as you can. Oh, and don't forget my cook book will be out soon either on Kindle, Nook or Book. Tried changing my Daily Log again but only managed to change the date. Sorry. It's all o Facebook, Tumblr or Blogger B'fast: 2 eggs and ham Lunch: 2 cups of popcorn Snack: 1 packet of low-carb crisps/potato chips Dinner: Small salad, chicken parmegiano with minced beef and tomato sauce topped with cheese, 1 garlic breadstick ending with 1/3 lemon meringue pie Total carbs for today about 70 www.karenscckitchen.com Was doing great until the waitress brought breadsticks to the bloody table. So, there I was watching these freshly baked garlic breadsticks being devoured..... The kind that are Sooo soft and garlicky and hot out of the oven. Anyway just couldn't say no. After that, I got the taste for a few more carbs so I shared the dessert with my son and as he has a bigger mouth than mine he managed to eat most of it :-) So after a good morning and afternoon there was a blip in the system, but I sometimes say...."If you can't beat em, join em" :-)

Well...my website has failed again. Can't change anything to ight!!! So, it's Facebook and Blogger me thinks!! Just fancied fish & chips but managed to turn it into a salad with grilled chicken :o) Another few days left and then it's back to reality. I noticed the restaurant has a fab sweet trolley full of rich chocolate cakes, .cheesecakes galore and lemon meringue pies! OMG!!! I'm OK, I'm OK......we've left the restaurant and now back on safe territory at the hotel, but you know whats going to happen don't you? I'm going to have one of those bloody cakes before the week's out!!!

I've managed to get into one block but can't add any previous logs.  It was the oatmeal for breakfast that racked up the carbs for today. Even so, I think the fiber is high which hopefully will show next week when I get home to weigh myself. This is my second good week.
For my weigh-in this week I have lost 1lb 
Total carbs for this week has worked out at 255
Average carbs for this week is 36 carbs per day.

What a fab week. Things are getting under control and I'm feeling a lot happier.

As for the gym.....well, I have been to the toning tables 3 times this week but done absolutely no cardio workouts. Strange really, because when I do cardio it makes no difference in my weight loss. 

I know that it is keeping me healthy though, so I should start going again.

I promised myself lots of chocolate this weekend, which considering I have done so well I will 'snarf' every bar and not feel too bad. Got the word 'snarf' from one of my fans 

Bought some new clothes and I fitted in a smaller size than my last visit to the store 
2 weeks to my next measure...can't wait !

I can't get too confident about it all because I have another 20lb before I am officially out of the 'obesity' range....OMG.....How did I get myself into this mess!

Should be a great challenge for the photographer :o]

I may take a trip to the chocolate drawer in the freezer and take my pickings. Think I've said the word chocolate enough times? Then I definitely deserve some. Done so well this week. Well apart from tonight that is :o)

I can't believe how well I have done this week. Maybe it's because last week was so disastrous that my body had had enough of carbs.

For my weigh-in this week lost 1lb

Total carbs for this week has worked out at 280 (last week's carbs was a whopping 441), Average carbs for this week is 40

Ideal week. 40 carbs per day is about right. Yes today was a bit iffy, but that's OK. I'm more than happy with the outcome

Dinner: Bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and grilled chicken salad with bacon bits

Todays carbs around 48

As you can see, I didn't plan my day very well. I rummaged around in the car and found my high protein bars, but didn't get time for lunch.

Just looked back over my Daily Logs and today is the highest carb day I've had so far. 
I've been good all week so if the scales are not playing the game on Wednesday, I will be one unhappy bunny

Lunch: Chicken and mayo on 1 low carb wrap.
Snack: 1 high protein bar
Dinner: 1 large chicken breast and small mixed salad with 2 low-carb wraps

Having a great weeK. Sooo looking forward to Wednesday's weigh-in

No hunger pangs no tiredness no nibbling at chocolate. I don't know what's come over me!

1 more thing to do before my book is publish....I have to have a photograph taken for the front cover   I hate having my photo taken

B'fast: Low-carb bar & coffee

Lunch: Small side salad with blue cheese dressing. Grilled chicken tenders with green beans and sweetcorn

Dinner: Leftover rump roast on 4 slices of low-carb bread

Relatively good day today, although I think the grilled chicken lunch would have been enough. I could have done without the salad with blue cheese dressing but that was only about 4 carbs.

B'fast:  1 low-carb bar & Coffee
Lunch: Missed it....sorry :o)
Snack: 1 low carb bar
Dinner: Homemade low-carb pizza with pepperoni and bacon with 2 glasses of red

Todays carb total about 20

Very low-carb day today. Still, that means I can have some chocolate later....if the situation should take a turn for the worse.

Only managed the toning tables today. Must try to get back into the swing of things and do some cardio.
